A Ray Called Hope

Through the days that gallop

past the rivulet of miscellany,

I undertake a voyage into a period-

An hour yet unknown.

Fear, masks and mystic skies,

A moonlit dream

over a wasteland lies.

My heart is a philanderer

Tossing over an uncertain crown.

Myriad shades of black and grey

cloud my mind,

scare me away.

And for all I know of tomorrow

seems a Pandora’s box!

Yet I spot the horizon

farther and farther away,

And yet I know it is,

and will forever stay.

I open a casket of gold

and swallow a pinch of silver lining,

a ray called Hope!
